Crane Support Systems

Crane Systems provide the means to support many types of lift assistor manufactured by MDP Handling. Workstation slewing jib cranes and freestanding bridge cranes are available in a wide range of lengths and SWL capacities. Both provide ideal ergonomic crane solutions to fulfil the needs of industrial workplace handling operations.

Typically the crane support system falls into two major categories 'Jib Cranes' and 'Bridge Cranes (also known as 'H Cranes') and then in to one of four sub-categories as follows.

  • Jib Cranes
    A floor mounted column with a fixed radius jib arm. An alternative arrangement is to clamp or mount the jib arm to an existing building column or wall.

  • Articulating Jib Cranes
    Similar arrangement and mounting to the jib crane but with the exception of an articulating arm. The system provides greater flexibility and are ideal when used in areas with restrictions.

  • Overhead Gantry Cranes
    An ‘X’ x ‘Y’ type gantry arrangement suspended from either existing ceiling structure or free floor mounted posts.

  • Mobile Support System
    A fully mobile support system allowing loads to be transported long distances.
